You can draw multiple window parts on the base screen, but the maximum number of local windows you can display simultaneously on a single screen is as follows. When global windows are set up, the number of local windows you can display simultaneously on a screen decreases by 1.
GP4000 series (excluding the GP-4100 series): Maximum 4 windows (maximum 3 windows when Global Windows are used)
GP-4100 series, and any series other than GP4000 Series: Maximum 3 windows (maximum 2 windows when Global Windows are used)
For details, refer to 12.9 Displaying Multiple Windows on a Single Screen.
When you enable the [Continuous Read] setting of a window part, it is counted as one of the displayed windows even if it is not displayed.
As a result, the number of windows the system can display is equal to the maximum number of windows that can be displayed minus the number of window parts with [Continuous Read] enabled.
Only one Global Window is allowed in each project.
When the Window Number is not set, the Window cannot be displayed.
When a Window has been positioned to stick out past its Base screen, the Window is adjusted to fit inside the Base screen.
When the model in use is GP4000 series or not IPC series, define the size and display position of Windows in units of 4 pixels for the X coordinate and in units of 1 pixel for the Y coordinate. When the designated X coordinate is not a four dot increment, the left side is adjusted to a four dot increment.
If multiple devices/PLCs are connected, only the device/PLC specified in the GP System Data Area can display Global Windows.
A Global Window cannot be displayed when the device monitor is on.
When using the Window Display Switch (Special Switch) to display a window, if there are multiple window parts with the same [Window Number] on the same screen, the first registered window will display. All other registered windows do not function.
Parts on screens that are completely hidden by an active Window cannot be activated by touch. However, if only a portion of a part is hidden by a Window, the viewable portion can be activated by touching it.
The maximum number of window parts with [Continuous Read] enabled that you can draw on one screen is the maximum number of windows that can be displayed. When this number is reached, you cannot use any other windows.
GP4000 series (excluding the GP-4100 series): Maximum 4 windows (maximum 3 windows when Global Windows are used)
GP-4100 series, and any series other than GP4000 Series: Maximum 3 windows (maximum 2 windows when Global Windows are used)
When using [Continuous Read], any scripts set on a Window will run if the script condition is satisfied, even if the Window is not displayed.
If you do want to run the script, make sure the [Continuous Read] check box is cleared.
When using the [Disable touch outside windows] option, touch is enabled only on the window displayed on top. When a window set up with the [Disable touch outside windows] option is displayed, and another window is opened without the [Disable touch outside windows] option, touch is enabled only on the newly opened window.
For information on [Disable touch outside windows] in combination with other interlock features, please see the following.
